Lab Trials
What to put in your message
- What happened, and what you were doing just before.
- Your computer: Windows or macOS, and the graphics card if it’s a display problem.
- Whether you were hosting the lab, joining a friend’s, or playing alone.
- The game’s log file, if you can attach it:
- Windows:
%APPDATA%\Lab Trials\logs\godot.log(paste that path into the File Explorer address bar) - macOS:
~/Library/Application Support/Lab Trials/logs/godot.log
- Windows:
I can’t join my friend’s lab
- Both of you need the Steam client running and signed in. Without Steam, the game starts offline.
- Labs are friends-only: you have to be friends on Steam with the host.
- The host may have locked the lab. The host can reopen it with Unlock the lab in the Esc menu.
- To join, open Friends’ labs in the main menu, use “Join Game” on your friend in Steam, or ask the host to use Invite friends in the Esc menu.
Nobody can hear me
- Check Options › Voice: the microphone can be open mic, push to talk (hold V, or D-pad down on a gamepad) or off. The level meter there shows whether your microphone is picking you up.
- In a Steam lab, the game uses the microphone set in Steam (Steam › Settings › Voice).
- Voices fade with distance and are muffled behind walls. Past about 30 m, other players can’t hear you at all.
My progress
Steam Cloud keeps your achievements, finished trials and best times, codex and character look in sync between your computers. Display, volume and microphone settings stay on each computer.
